And in a rapidly changing future, the culture we build together will be the sum total of all the content we are exposed to. Years from now, this article may be written by another woman in her 20s or Kardelen in her 50s. But the main theme never changes, it only changes shape. The recent hit series Euphoria has garnered a enormous audience since its release. The apparent differences between the two seasons of the series, in which actors in their 20s play characters who are high school kids, reaffirm our thesis that sex sells. The point I am trying to draw attention to here is not the use of sex as a commercial value, but how high school-age characters present themselves, how they are evaluated by adults, and how they normalize hypersexualization among themselves. Violent and deviant adolescent sexuality makes it inevitable for young girls in search of an identity to resort to one of the easiest ways to express themselves: body exposure. The idea of sex without a 'human' in it distances a large community from its human values and brings it closer to the ideal of commercial and illegal sex. While the first wave of technology affected sexuality in terms of partner communication, the second wave, which we can include the latest developments, comes with a different dimension. In both episodes, the characters experienced an existential dilemma between the real and the virtual. Was what was real the life they physically existed in, or the life they wanted to live according to their own rules and tastes? There is not yet a virtual reality application that can mimic physical perceptions, but that doesn't mean it won't happen soon. However, these two episodes dealing with themes of sexuality and violence in VR give us a lot to think about in the context of what we have been talking about since the beginning of this article.Especially when we consider the increasing cases of sexual abuse in Turkey, it makes us think that a future where borders can be removed is only an option for healthy people. Even so, the fact that it is accessible to everyone is the most annoying part. Of course, we will embrace both cybersexuals and sex robots within the right boundaries, but this requires a future where we reach the ideal of the society.
