• The US Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Bayer-owned Monsanto to shut down thousands of lawsuits claiming that its Roundup weed killer causes cancer. The court left in place a $25 million (€24mn) judgment against Monsanto, which was a test case for thousands of similar lawsuits. Bayer's lawyers had hoped to limit the damage from legal payouts, banking on the conservative majority of the court.
