Deutsche Bank

has appointed a new CEO for its Spanish unit as part of a revamp of its operations in several European countries. The new chief executive, Inigo Martos, will also lead the bank’s retail and wealth management unit in the country as of January.

• A step back: The bank was recently rocked by internal investigations into alleged derivative mis-selling, leading to the departure of several employees and senior executives, with the bank facing claims from dozens of Spanish companies in relation to the issue.
