, the electric truck start-up, has agreed to pay $125 million (€110mn) to settle charges after the company’s founder and former CEO Trevor Milton defrauded investors by misleading them on the technical aspects of the vehicles and the company’s production capabilities, order numbers, and financial outlook, the US market watchdog SEC said.

  • Zoom out: Trevor Milton resigned from the company last year after accusations of an “intricate fraud” surfaced. Criminal fraud charges against him are still pending.
