• Airbus and Quebec , the Canadian province, have agreed to a joint investment of $1.2 billion (€1bn) to continue production of the loss-making A220 jet program. What they're saying: Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury said the smaller and more fuel-efficient A220 jets should become profitable by the middle of the decade as airlines seek to reduce fuel costs. Quebec Economy Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon said the deal would help maintain 2,500 jobs in the province.
