Unfortunately, the things I was curious about growing up did not help me in my daily life. I admire the details in the craftsmanship of unknown artists. Maybe the reason why I admire puppet making, and people who are interested in puppetry comes from my father.&nbsp;I admire the workmanship. I admire humility. I admire unrequited love, caring for people, and being kind. I admire relationships and love. Maybe it's a bit boring to admire your parents, but I think their personality traits and values, as well as the divorce they went through, had a huge impact on who I am today. It seems like everything has began with my admiration and respect towards them.To be honest, the universe I was a fan of when I was little was of with the person whom I fell in love with. I used to fantasize about the boy I liked back then, and write in my diary about him and about us. Not much has changed. Still, when I like someone a lot, the pages of my notebook are filled with that person and I think about that person before I go to bed… Can we admire love too?How does the things that admire Nilüfer affects her?A lot! Like I said, when I admire something, I want to know everything about it. For example, I know too much detailed information about Nikki Glaser that if I really met her, I wouldn't be her friend. I follow on Instagram; I listen to her podcast, which she broadcasts four days a week. That's why, after some point, the people I admire become a very important part of my life. It affects my inner world, and how I think. As a result, my productions are undoubtedly affected.When examining the things and people I admire, I examine them in such a way that I can benefit from them and learn the details that I can apply to myself. After all, a lot of people before us tried what we wanted to do. If we can learn from them, why not? Maybe at some point the people I admire are starting to become something like my mentors. Because even though we have never met, these people have a significant impact on my life and my productions.Does the things you admire is in relation with your stand-up content?When it comes to performance, I think it is something that develops a bit more individually. Of course, I'm interested in the way people whose work I like: be it their stage presence, writing their jokes, and the way they perform their work in general, and I want to get something from them. But because the performance is so individual—especially in stand-up—something falls into place when you go on stage.For example, I always have in mind to take up more space on the stage, to play bigger, to try different things and to have fun. However, I think that I can achieve these by doing and working on my own.
