via Bloomberg • The Austrian government announced it will be compulsory to get vaccinated by February 1st, and Austrians who refuse to get inoculated will face fines of up to €3,600. Authorities will first offer an appointment for people who haven’t taken a shot, followed by penalties if the offer is rejected. Many Austrians, swayed by the far-right Freedom Party, are skeptical about vaccinations.
