• Software giant Oracle announced it closed the deal to acquire electronic health records company Cerner for $28 billion (€26bn), bringing the lucrative healthcare market to the Oracle cloud. Rival Microsoft had recently paid almost $20 billion (€19bn) for Nuance Communications, an AI-driven healthcare company, in a deal that closed in March.
