• Sony has announced that it is launching a new company in a first step towards entering the electric vehicle market, sending the group’s shares up nearly 5%. Sony’s CEO announced the plans to open a subsidiary called Sony Mobility, but it is unclear whether the Japan-based company planned to do manufacturing itself, or whether production would be outsourced.
