Reaching the 2050 goal would require an annual production capacity of 449 billion liters. IATA claims effective government incentives could push production to 30 billion liters by 2030 and would be a tipping point for SAF production and utilization.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">On a related note: United Airlines is preparing for higher fuel prices to become the “new normal” and to impact fares going forward, said CEO Scott Kirby.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">In other news: UK carrier EasyJet ordered 56 Airbus SE A320neo-family narrow-body aircraft while converting an existing agreement covering 18 jets to larger A321neo variants. The newly ordered planes will turn up between the 2026 and 2029 fiscal years, with the A321s arriving from fiscal 2024.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">Furthermore: Ryanair’s UK-based pilots accepted a revised pay deal with the airline, avoiding any potential strike and giving the carrier some relief amid a wave of action from staff across Europe.</li></ul>
