Concert. As part of the 28th Istanbul Jazz Festival, Altın Gün, the Anatolian rock and psychedelic folk band that we last met on a September evening, is calling us to belly dance again.&nbsp;• Where? September 10&nbsp;• Why should you go?&nbsp;Whether it's Maçka Yolları or Esmerim Güzelim, we love practicing our dance moves to new generation funky folk songs and we recommend you do the same. It’s Sunday morning. The streets are being cleaned in Beyoğlu now, after another exciting summer and another dirty Saturday. There are beer cans on the streets that were crushed and thrown away, carefully placed wine bottles next to trash barrels, and cigarette butts with that dramatic look. For sure, rose petals are witness to a love story with a sad ending, also there on the streets, used straws signal a cocktail bar nearby. It’s the first Sunday of September. The street cleaning vehicles are working to wipe away any evidence of the summer. They are here to clean up the streets, but not to erase memories.&nbsp;It’s a Sunday morning. Now, it’s time to go back to the city. This week, we meet Bejan Mahur,&nbsp;a poet, an Istanbulite, and one of the artists to attend the 17th Istanbul Biennial.&nbsp;We chatted a bit about the city and her relationship with it. Then we walked around in Beyoğlu. We left some traces on the streets before she leaves more traces in people’s memories with her poems.&nbsp;Nowadays, we are looking forward to the opening of&nbsp;Minimüzikhol to dance with the cool kids of Cihangir and celebrate the arrival of September. A fun and a busy week ahead.
