The living room overlooks the garden and is a lively and much-used space. Here they sit together, talk, entertain friends and watch TV. Plants, books, and pictures complete the room. The main goal behind this interior design is simplicity and openness. Objects are not in the foreground just because they recede into the background. Their small number and unobtrusiveness create space. It's the aesthetics of an empty room with an open floor and a material combination of walls and ceiling. Rams was inspired by Japanese gardens in the design of his small garden.
