• Kuwait’s low-cost carrier Jazeera Airways is planning to expand further into neighboring Saudi Arabia, where it’s already one of the largest foreign airlines operating in terms of frequencies, and in China, where it plans a “significant expansion” once it eases Covid-19 protocols. • The Saudi antitrust watchdog blocked a second attempt by Germany’s Delivery Hero to buy The Chefz, a Riyadh-based rival. The Chefz will now look into other options including an IPO or a takeover by another acquirer, the company CEO Abdulrahman Alshabanat said. Backstage: The Chefz competes against Delivery Hero’s Hungerstation and local firms like Jahez in Saudi Arabia. Delivery Hero’s regional operations also include Talabat in Kuwait and Yemeksepeti in Turkey.
