• An airplane carrying 22 people on board in Nepal crashed into a Himalayan mountainside, where local authorities found all but one of the bodies of the 22 passengers. What happened: As the difficult terrain and poor weather hampered the search, authorities said that a survivor is unlikely to come out of the crash. The plane was on a 20-minute flight from Pokhara to Jomsom when it lost contact with air traffic control five minutes before it was due to land.
