• The Russian defense ministry said it struck military targets in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, hitting a fuel depot being used by Ukrainian forces with long-range missiles and a plant being used to repair anti-aircraft systems, radar stations, and sights for tanks with cruise missiles.

• In other news , Australia and South Korea have signed a historic defense deal worth nearly $700 million (€620mn) as the two countries mark 60 years of diplomatic relations. The deal: As per the agreement, South Korean defense firm Hanwha will provide equipment like artillery weapons, supply vehicles and radar systems to the Australian army.
