• The UN's Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) urged Russia and Ukraine to establish a "nuclear safety and security protection zone" around the Zaporizhzhia power plant amid mounting fears that continued shelling around the plant might trigger a nuclear disaster. In a report published after the IAEA team's visit to the facility last week, the atomic watchdog agency warned shelling on site and in its vicinity should be stopped immediately.
