• The European Space Agency released a trove of data on almost 2 billion stars in the Milky Way collected by its Gaia mission, including new information such as the age, mass, temperature and chemical composition of stars and starquakes—tiny motions on the surface of a star—that change the shapes of stars. Astronomers hope to use the data to better understand the life cycle of stars and how our galaxy evolved over billions of years.

via NASA Spaceflight • SpaceX launched a crew of four astronauts, including a veteran spacewalker and two younger crewmates chosen to join NASA’s forthcoming lunar missions, at 02:00 GMT from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral FL, to the International Space Station.
