• Germany is preparing to lend billions to rescue a former arm of Gazprom now under the control of the country’s energy regulator, according to Bloomberg. Driving the news: To bailout Gazprom Germania, state-owned bank KfW Group is expected to issue a loan in the range of €5-10 billion, which is needed to stabilize its finances and ensure the security of supply after Russia curbed shipments to the company.
