I learned to read on my own when I was 4 years old. A deep and silent shock wave swept through the house, I remember. At first, I was left without content for a while because my family thought this was wrong—I remember that feeling too.It's strange, but I don't remember a children's book given to me in our house until I got my first book. In 1991 Turkey, access to children's books in the country must have been quite limited.&nbsp;My mother gifted me The Pied Piper Of Hamelin on my 7-year-old birthday. The feeling that the book left me is quite different. Since it was my first gift that I read with a sense of ownership, I guess I continued as a good reader for the rest of my life. I can say that I still am.Now I think about it, it's good that I spent my childhood in the years when a book was considered a great gift. On the occasion of this good question, I searched and found the edition that was gifted to me in an online second-hand bookstore. Only around southern France or Italy, if possible! I can imagine a world of witchcraft and wizardry in a sunnier place much brighter than the gloomy weather of the island!Although all the plot in the story takes place on the Gryffindor front, I imagine myself as a Hufflepuff person. The fact that a house that adopts hard work, justice, loyalty, and friendship, being under the chairmanship of my botanist teacher, Sprout, also inspires me.A well-behaved, introverted Hufflepuff man who lives by his own values in my own universe is a perfectly acceptable option, since I was never that popular kid in my school life, even if my grades weren't very good.Which universe is still waiting for you?The universe, which I believe is still waiting for me, is a place where the concept of border is accepted as the line where someone else's field begins, where everyone obeys the rules of living together with kindness and tolerance, where every subject regarding art is very accessible, where diversity and hard work are fed, and where tyranny is unknown.There is such a place, I feel it.
