• Stoxx 600 index ended flat as losses in defensive stocks were matched by gains in automakers and technology stocks in hopes of improving semiconductor supply. Nasdaq closed down 2.51% , led by losses in Tesla (-6.75%) and Microsoft (-4.23%). Driving the news: Fed signaled at least three rate hikes for the year, but Chicago Fed President Charles Evans noted it could be “four if the data don’t improve quickly enough on inflation.”
