• Fighting intensified around four cities in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region, as President Zelenskiy called for more weapons amid Russia's aggressive advancement in the cities of Liman, Popasna, Sievierodonetsk and Sloviansk.
• Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin visited Ukraine where she held talks with President Zelenskiy and visited the city of Bucha to see the atrocities committed on civilians by Russia.
• World Bank President David Malpass warned that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could cause a global recession, as the prices of food, energy and fertilizer followed a hike.
• Vladimir Putin said the West will fail in its attempts to isolate Russia and described the seizing of Russian assets as "theft", speaking at the Eurasian Economic Forum.
• Russia's Defense Ministry said they are ready to set up a corridor for ships carrying food to leave Ukraine. In accordance, Kremlin's plan to fast-track Russian citizenship for people in Ukraine's two southern regions under siege was strongly criticized by Ukraine and US.
