• Mining giant Rio Tinto is buying out Turquoise Hill Resources with a deal valued at about $3.3 billion, at about $32 a share. • The EU reached a deal with Azerbaijan to double its natural gas imports in a bid to diversify away from Russian fossil fuels amid sanctions and a worsening energy crisis.
