Left-wing parties are on course to almost triple their seats from the last legislative election but they failed to secure the outright win Mélenchon had hoped for.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">The right: For the first time in French politics, Le Pen's far-right party could score a ten-fold increase of its MPs, and win as many as 80-100 seats, possibly passing the center-right. The conservative Les Republicains is also projected to win close to 80 seats, propping them up as the potential kingmakers considering their platform is the most compatible with Macron’s.</li></ul>
