We are talking about a community that defies labels: people carrying ultranationalist symbols, people waving Turkish flags, people holding humorous, Gen-Z-style placards, and others whose signs read “Revolutionary children of conservative families”... But when the police crackdown began, this diverse group—one that requires a sociological explanation for how it came together—stood united.
