• Exxon Mobil declared force majeure on its Russian Exxon Neftegas unit's Sakhalin-1 operation of gas production as Western sanctions have made it increasingly difficult for the company to ship crude. A step back: Exxon had joined a consortium of businesses leaving Russian markets following the invasion of Ukraine, reporting on March 1 that they would abandon $4 billion worth of assets and discontinue all Russian operations.
